Roy Adams is a passionate and dedicated photographer who has lived and worked in Exeter for the last 24 years. He was delighted to be runner up to the prestigious national Amateur Photographer of the Year competition in 2001, and has had many of his photographs published in magazines. He started taking pictures when his children were young, and quickly realised that he had the eye for a good photograph.
Over the years Roy has built up a collection of thousands of images of a large variety of subjects; ranging from landscapes to cars, from people to animals, and everything in between! With such a large variety of pictures in his archive he now feels that it is time to share them with others. He uses both digital and film cameras and he loves to see his medium format slides hand-printed, framed, and hanging on the wall for all to enjoy.

Roy says “Everywhere I go I see pictures. It could be the light at an angle reflecting off an object, the shape and texture of buildings, or sunlight playing over an ever-changing landscape. I love the form and colour of the material world around me and I try to capture images, from different angles wherever I go. Light illuminates the world and I try to use my images to bring parts of that world to others."
